Democrats Oppose Freedom of Conscience

Half of Democrats Oppose Freedom of Conscience

At least half of the Democrats surveyed oppose a soldier's right to freedom of conscience, the Constitution's lynchpin of liberty.

Fifty percent of Democrat likely voters want military personnel punished for opposing homosexuality, even if they oppose the practice for religious reasons.

When asked if they believed that the military should attempt to change personal attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality and impose “zero tolerance” career penalties on anyone who disagrees for any reason, including religious convictions, if the current law is overturned, half of Democrats agreed to imposing punishments.—Adam Cassandra

Clearly, too many Democrats no longer respect the people's fundamental right to believe and worship according to their own conscience. Religious liberty has been a core conviction of the American people since the founding of this country, which is why it is the first enumerated right in the Bill of Rights. Religious liberty is "the first freedom" because the Founders fashioned it as a linchpin of the republic and the other fundamental rights enumerated in the Constitution.

I don't know how anyone of Christian heritage could be a Democrat.
