Hiding Hasan while Bowing to Saudis

Our media has developed an incongruous sensitivity when it comes to descriptions of two religions.  CNN's Anderson Cooper described Islamic murderer Major Hasan as attired in "traditional garb" on his way to wiping out at least 13 human beings.

"Traditional garb"?  Was he in top hat and tails? Did he have on a Cherokee headdress and loincloth? Was he dressed in a kilt?  To what tradition was Mr. Cooper referring?

Isn't it odd that the US media is bending over backwards in an effort not to offend co-religionists of the slayer?

Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber was described as a "born-again Christian" in the aftermath of that terrorist act.  It didn't seem to matter that former soldier was a devotee of Charles Darwin and had stated repeatedly that he was not Christian.  McVeigh was known to frequent white supremacists who espouse a neo-pagan philosophy and reject Christianity as "Jewish" in accord with the thought of Oswald Spengler and other turn-of-the-century racialists.

So why the rush to label a terrorist as Christian (in spite of all evidence to the contrary) and the utter failure to relate Nidal Malik to his Muslim beliefs?

Perhaps the answer lies in CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS taking their talking points from the current administration.  President Obama used his bully pulpit to press the requirement of all citizens not to "rush to judgment."  Did Mr. Obama use such caution in the wake of the slaying of partial birth abortionist George Tiller? Was there such prudence when he called Massachusetts police officers "stupid" for daring to offend Obama’s fellow traveler Henry Louis Gates?

Keep in mind that this is the first president (and his wife, Michele) to flout protocol with the head of the Church of England, Elizabeth II, yet took a deep bow before the Saudi prince.

US Army Chief of Staff General George Casey stated that commanders will be on guard for any signs of "anti Muslim backlash."  Tim Conway, Jr. on Los Angeles KFI AM 640 pointed out that ".... (w) ould not the General's concerns be better suited to protecting those under his command from further copycat attacks by jihadists in our armed forces?"

As Harry Truman's desk plaque said "The Buck Stops Here" and politically correct myopia must ultimately be laid at the feet of President Obama.  Mr. Obama should institute broad and sweeping changes to the way our military deals with potential jihadists in our armed forces.  Am I alone in noting the bitter irony that the only enforcement that the Obama administration has gone after with gusto was Janet Napolitano's invective against potential "right wing extremists" such anti-abortionists, Constitutionalists and those who want a halt to illegal immigration?  The chief target of Ms. Napolitano's witch hunt?  US veterans returning from the war.  The problem with her partisan prescription was that it is an utter failure on all counts. Major Hasan is a poster child for the new, multicultural "sensitive" Army.  He opposed the war and had never been deployed.  It was not a returning veteran but a potential soldier who decided to cry "Allahu akbar" as he slaughtered innocents.

The UK Telegraph reports that Hasan attended the same mosque as the 9/11 terrorists.   http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6521758/Fort-Hood-shooting-Texas-army-killer-linked-to-September-11-terrorists.html

Hasan said he was a "Muslim first, an American second" and that "infidels" needed to be killed.  This was not reported for fear of appearing "discriminatory."   http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6526030/Fort-Hood-gunman-had-told-US-military-colleagues-that-infidels-should-have-their-throats-cut.html

Isn't it odd that this is not being reported in the American media but in the United Kingdom?  A man says that according to his religion he needs to "cut the throats" of his fellow soldiers, and he is not reported?  How can this be?

We must consider that Obama made his first major speech in Egypt to the Muslim world.  That he smugly declared that America "...is not a Christian nation" that he refused to allow Christian symbols to be displayed when he spoke at Georgetown but bowed before the Saudi prince.  Maybe his "teachable moments" are getting through, but through to the wrong people.  The wrong people to ELVISNIXON, at least.

As I Viet Nam veteran, it is my feeling that muslims have absolutely no place in the U.S. military. Their allegiance (and Obama's) lie elsewhere..being politically correct has absolutely no place in the U.S. military. Perhaps it is Hasan that should "have his throat cut". Remember, muslims are directed to employ taquiya in dealing with all non-mi=uslims if it furthers their cause. Distrust of all muslims is the only reasonable course of action.
